DART by teledx.org is a web platform based software that aims to automatedly detect the signs of retina diseases in digital images using artificial intelligence to prevent them in early stages. The project has achieved complementing a multidisciplinary team to take an R&D initiative to reality, putting technology at the patient’s service. Currently, there’s an important shortage of coverage of the retina exam in diabetic population, reaching roughly 15% of the required amount. The direct consequence: diabetes-led blindness is the most common cause of vision loss in adult population.
