Countries spend an average of 0.5% of their GDP to maintain their interurban road networks. But there is a lack of accurate information about the state of this infrastructure: monitoring in most of the roads is done by visual inspections, a manual, slow and inefficient process. ASIMOB uses AI techniques and IoT devices to monitor the road conditions and detect flaws. It follows a consistent process to collect data with low-cost commercial devices on board any vehicle, and process and analyse these data in a back-end IT system that can be located in the cloud for scalability. Road bumps (potholes), lack of adherence, deteriorated signals or road works signage can be automatically detected and remotely monitored with ASIMOB's system.
